Dear Ron Jon Surf School Parents and Graduates,
After successfully completing the Ron Jon Surf School Summer Camp or Surf Lesson in our “Learn to Surf Program” you have qualified for either the “Intermediate Level Surf Program (ILSP)” or the “Advanced Junior Team Surf Program (JTSP)”.
The continuity of your experience in these programs will take you to the next level in surf performance. With programs especially designed for your ability level and supervised by the most competent instruction team in Florida you will be able to improve both your surfing skills and physical conditioning and further your wave and ocean knowledge.
The programs will run in the after school hours (3pm to 5pm) for two days a week during two quarters of the year:
1st Quarter (Fall)- September, October and November.
2nd Quarter (Spring)- February, March and April.
“Intermediate Level Surf Program”- ILSP days are Wednesdays (4pm-6pm) and Saturdays (9am-11am) In case there’s no surf, we’ll arrange make-up days.
To qualify for the “Intermediate Level Surf Program”- ILSP surfers must:
-Have either the beginner lesson or summer camp experience at the RJSS or any other
recognized surf school.
-Be able to paddle out without help for surf up to 3ft.
-Be able to pop-up and ride a wave with proper stance and posture.
Intermediate surfers that progress to the Jr.Team performance level will be transferred to the “Junior Team Surf Program “-JTSP.
Cost is $400 per quarter per person / minimum of 6 people.
“Junior Team Surf Program” - JTSP days are Wednesdays (4pm-6pm) and Saturdays (9am-11am) for coached sessions and Sunday mornings (9am to 11am) for free surf in buddy system. In case there’s no surf, we’ll arrange make-up days.
If you qualify for the “Ron Jon Junior Team Surf Program” you will be part of an exciting experience, participate in specific training and compete in local, regional or national surf events.
To qualify for the “Junior Team Surf Program” JTSP surfers must:
-Be able to paddle out without help for surf up to 5 ft.
-Be able to paddle into their own waves without help.
-Have directional ability to catch a wave down the line – right or left.
-Be able to turn the board.
-Bring your own surfboard(s). If you do not have one yet the school instructors will be glad to recommend one that’s right for you.
Training program for the “Junior Team Surf Program “-JTSP will include advanced ocean safety, yoga, video analysis, competition and surf strategies, stance and posture refining on Indo or Carve board. Days with flat surf or blown-out conditions may be spent on workout or swimming sessions.
Cost is $400 per quarter per person / minimum of 6 people.

Advanced Junior Team Surf Program
Enrollment Agreement:
All students, and guardians of participating students, prior to enrollment and participation in the Ron Jon Surf School “Junior Team Surf Program”-JTSP MUST first read, then complete the following Acknowledgment Agreement besides reading and completing the registration and Indemnity agreement.
I,_____________________________________ agree that in order to participate on the “Junior Team Surf Program”-JTSP I must follow the points listed below:
-Maintain or exceed my school grades at or above that establishment’s average grades and have my performance at school as first priority.
-Apply myself to the best of my ability in the activities proposed by the program.
-Live in Brevard County or within distance that allows me to join the JTSP after school on the assigned days.
-Participate in a minimum of at least 2 surf contests. I’ll be responsible to pay for the registration fee required in these contests.
-Wear the Jr.Team rash guard or uniform at all times during training and at events that I’ll participate.
-Follow the coaches’ instructions and help them with the maintenance of the Jr.Team Room and surf material.
-Bring my own board.
-Bring my own wetsuit on colder days or I’ll agree to pay the extra $5 per day to rent it at the Surf School.
